Oshkosh, WI, May 9, 2012: After a successful start to the 2012 season last Friday evening, the Oshkosh Speedzone roars to life again this Friday evening, May 11th as the raceway hosts another exciting five division racing program. The event will be presented by two longtime track supporters.

May 9, 2012; Luxemburg, WI- This Friday Night May 11th, the second night of the season is slated to take place at Luxemburg Speedway. Algoma Motors will be sponsoring the night. Racing gets started at 7 p.m. Mothers who are accompanied to the races with their children will receive admission for half price on her adult ticket. The five regular divisions will be in action.

May 5, 2012; Loves Park, IL - It’s a badge of honor to be a Late Model feature winner at the Rockford Speedway. Drivers old and young, experienced and novice, have all been humbled by the famed high banked track. When a driver is finally able to take the trip to victory lane, it’s a special thing. A first time winner would indeed top the Late Model field on this Saturday evening during Pepsi Kid’s Night, as 20 year old Mitch Garfield traded blows with some of the very best en route to the checkered flag in the 30 lap Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Model feature event.
May 6, 2012; Seymour, WI – Due to heavy rainfall through the past 24 hours, NEW dirt officials have decided to cancel the planned races for Sunday, May 6, 2012. Racing will resume next week, Sunday, May 13th at 5pm.

May 5, 2012; Wilmot, WI - It took hot acting on the track to keep fans warm on a cool and damp evening for those attending the Wilmot Raceway season opening racing event at the Kenosha County Fairgrounds. Those in attendance were treated to a show with well over 100 cars taking to the third-mile clay oval as part of the five division program.
Defending 410 Sprint champion Tommy Sexton would hold off Mike Kertscher for the victory as he seeks to repeat the title in 2012. Scott Kuxhouse came away with the Modified feature victory after a fierce battle with Mike Simons Jr. In the Mini-Sprints is was Nick Scanlon taking the first feature checkered of the year. Rob Maule would dominate the non-stop Street Stock feature for the victory, while in the combined 4 cylinder main event Jake Greensley topped the Pro 4 class and Scott Redden notched the victory in the Bandits.

May 5, 2012; Jefferson, WI. - Fort Atkinson’s Jason Erickson kicked off his 2011 Late Model Title defense in style on Saturday night by capturing the Radio Doctor 50 lap Late Model feature on season opening night at Wisconsin’s Action Track. On a night in which he also laid claim to quick time in qualifying, Erickson looked to start a quest to add a rare fifth championship to his racing resume in the 2012 campaign.
May 5, 2012; Manitowoc, WI. -After several days of downpours, competitors and fans alike were anxious for action on opening night. Several hours of track preparation resulted in some furious racing across all divisions. Many thanks to all who made the trip to make the night a huge success.
May 5, 2012; Francis Creek, WI– Neosho’s Mitch McGrath passed Fremont’s Mike Wedelstadt for the lead on lap seven and battled defending track champ Shawn Jerovetz in the final laps to capture the modified feature at 141 Speedway in Francis Creek on Stock’s Harley Davidson/21 Guns Saloon night.
A weekly record of 168 cars checked in to do battle. The field included 24 modifieds, 19 Brian Peterson Grand Nationals, 31 stock cars, 31 street stocks, 42 IMCA northern sportmods and 22 sport fours.
May 4, 2012; Oshkosh, WI - Just 24 hours prior to the first green flag of the 2012 season. Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway and the surrounding area received over 5 inches of rain putting opening night in doubt. But thanks to a skilled track prep crew the season got underway as scheduled with racing starting promptly at 7:00pm.
123 cars checked into the pit area lead by 39 Automotive Supply Company Modifieds. The Leon’s Frozen Custard IMCA Northern Sport Modifieds had 25 participants as did the Miller Lite Grand Nationals. 17 drivers checked into the pit area in the Total Power Sales Street Stocks and the Lynn’s Service Center Dirt Devils.

Shawn Kilgore and Benji LaCrosse waged a classic war last week in the Budweiser IMCA Modified feature event. Kilgore edged LaCrosse at the line for the win. Jason Czarapata holds a 2 point advantage over Mike Mullen for the series point lead.

Children ages eleven and under will be admitted free and the first five hundred kids through the gate will receive a free DOC 360/Driver X Racing poster as well as a family four pack to Mt.
