Rice Lake Speedway Sets Awards Banquet

February 9, 2012 – Rice Lake WI – Adams-Hansen Inc, the owners of the Rice Lake Speedway, invite all racer drivers, crews, fans, friends and speedway employees to the 2011 awards banquet for the speedway, to be held on Saturday night, February 25th .

Halopka and Adams Top Rice Lake Speedway Finale

Rice Lake WI, Sept. 4, 2011   – Despite two rain delays during the course of the afternoon and evening, the Rice Lake Speedway was able to complete the final show of their first ever triple header in the fifty nine year history of the speedway Sunday night. Shane Halopka and Kevin Adams also became the first multiple winners of the weekend as both drivers won their second feature race of the three day series conducted over the holiday weekend. Other winners as the track completed the final show on their schedule for 2011 were Andy Grymala, Adam Soltis and Jay Folz.

Three Close Finishes Highlight Sunday Rice Lake Speedway Show

Rice Lake WI, Sept. 3, 2011 – Round two of the Rice Lake Speedway tripleheader was held Saturday night, and despite a little batch of rain that came through near start time, and caused the show to be delayed about an hour, racing went on as scheduled. The car count increased as one hundred thirty five drivers signed in Saturday, with the highlight of the racing being three feature races that were decided by a car length or less. Winning very tight battles were Jimmy Randall, Ryan Viltz and Cory Tammen while George Richards and Paul Brust also found victory lane.
 

Adams Tops Rice Lake Labor Day Triple Opener

Rice Lake WI, September 2, 2011 – The Rice Lake Speedway attempted the first triple header weekend in track history over the Labor Day weekend, and night one on Friday was highlighted by Kevin Adams’ twenty ninth feature win of the season in the Modified class. Other winners on Friday included Ben Hillman, Shane Halopka, Cody Kummer and Jason Havel.

Rice Lake Speedway Season Champions Crowned; Tripleheader Set

Rice Lake WI, August 27, 2011 – It was Championship night at the Rice Lake Speedway. Point champions started on the pole of their heat races and the results of the heats set the feature lineups. However, only two of the point champions were able to double up by earning Track Championships also. Kevin Adams and Matt Leer were able to pull off the difficult double while other champions crowned Saturday included Shane Kisling, Cody Kummer and Jay Folz. The UMSS Sprint Cars ran as an added attraction Saturday and Jerry Richert Jr. of Forest Lake MN won their twenty lap feature event.

Gross Breaks Through at Rice Lake Speedway

Rice Lake WI, August 20, 2011 – Jason Gross, an infrequent competitor at the Rice Lake Speedway over the years as his schedule has allowed, put everything together Saturday night in winning the Modified main event. Gross, the only new winner on the last night that track points could be accumulated, won his first feature race at Rice Lake since the 1994 season when he won a Mini Stock feature. Other winners Saturday as the speedway beat an incoming thunderstorm complex by mere minutes were Jason Forehand, Ryan Viltz, Simon Wahlstrom and Jason Havel.

‘The Reaper’ rolls to Rice Lake win in USMTS Mod Action!

RICE LAKE, Wis. (Aug. 18, 2011) — The Hunt for the USMTS Casey’s General Stores National Championship powered by Swan Energy continued on Thursday with a huge crowd on hand for the first visit by the USMTS Modifieds to the Rice Lake Speedway.

Twenty-five cars and drivers took the green flag in the 40-lap WIX Filters “A” Main with local favorite Mike Anderson beating polesitter Ryan Ruter to the flagstand to lead the first lap with USMTS points leader Ryan Gustin giving chase.

Bahr Surprises Rice Lake Super Stock Foes

Rice Lake WI, August 18, 2011  – Tony Bahr, running a Super Stock for only the second time in 2011, led all the way to win the Super Stock feature on Thursday night as the Super Stocks shared the card with the USMTS Modifieds at the Rice Lake Speedway. Nick Traynor came out of a wild scramble on the last corner to win the Pure Stock feature to round out the program while Ryan Gustin of Marshalltown Iowa topped the USMTS race.

Halopka Doubles In Big Rice Lake Speedway Show

Rice Lake WI, August 13, 2011 – It was a big night of racing Saturday night at the Rice Lake Speedway with a twenty three race program that included ten feature races, five of which were left over from the July 30th rain shortened program that track officials were finally able to complete after rain washed out the entire show last Saturday. 

Shane Halopka who swept both ends of the Midwest Modified action at Rice Lake Speedway, winning both the rain make-up feature end the evening's scheduled main event.

On a night when three drivers earned their first feature wins of the year at Rice Lake and another driver became the first double digit feature winner at Rice Lake since the 2005 racing season, the only double winner was Shane Halopka who swept both ends of the Midwest Modified action with eight other drivers also visiting victory lane.

United States Modified Touring Series Comes To Rice Lake Speedway

Rice Lake WI – One of the biggest Modified races in the history of the Rice Lake Speedway will come to the track on Thursday, August 18th . 

The United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS), will be racing for the first time at the Rice Lake track, and as an added special bonus, the race at Rice Lake will be part of “The Hunt”, USMTS’s version of “The Chase” where the points are reset among the top drivers in the series as they race toward a title that will be worth $20,000 to the winner.
