Rice Lake WI, August 27, 2011 – It was Championship night at the Rice Lake Speedway. Point champions started on the pole of their heat races and the results of the heats set the feature lineups. However, only two of the point champions were able to double up by earning Track Championships also. Kevin Adams and Matt Leer were able to pull off the difficult double while other champions crowned Saturday included Shane Kisling, Cody Kummer and Jay Folz. The UMSS Sprint Cars ran as an added attraction Saturday and Jerry Richert Jr. of Forest Lake MN won their twenty lap feature event.

Rice Lake WI, August 20, 2011 – Jason Gross, an infrequent competitor at the Rice Lake Speedway over the years as his schedule has allowed, put everything together Saturday night in winning the Modified main event. Gross, the only new winner on the last night that track points could be accumulated, won his first feature race at Rice Lake since the 1994 season when he won a Mini Stock feature. Other winners Saturday as the speedway beat an incoming thunderstorm complex by mere minutes were Jason Forehand, Ryan Viltz, Simon Wahlstrom and Jason Havel.

RICE LAKE, Wis. (Aug. 18, 2011) — The Hunt for the USMTS Casey’s General Stores National Championship powered by Swan Energy continued on Thursday with a huge crowd on hand for the first visit by the USMTS Modifieds to the Rice Lake Speedway.

Twenty-five cars and drivers took the green flag in the 40-lap WIX Filters “A” Main with local favorite Mike Anderson beating polesitter Ryan Ruter to the flagstand to lead the first lap with USMTS points leader Ryan Gustin giving chase.

Rice Lake WI – One of the biggest Modified races in the history of the Rice Lake Speedway will come to the track on Thursday, August 18th . 

The United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS), will be racing for the first time at the Rice Lake track, and as an added special bonus, the race at Rice Lake will be part of “The Hunt”, USMTS’s version of “The Chase” where the points are reset among the top drivers in the series as they race toward a title that will be worth $20,000 to the winner.

Rice Lake WI, August 6, 2011 – A heavy late afternoon storm front swept through the Rice Lake area Saturday and dumped a quick inch of rain on the Rice Lake Speedway, ending any hopes of racing on what was to have been Quality Cleaners & Second To None Concrete night at the Speedway. It was the fourth rain out of the 2011 racing season to go along with three nights when the racing action has had to be concluded prematurely due to the weather.

Rice Lake WI, Aug. 3, 2011 – The twentieth edition of the Street Stock Little Dream race at the Rice Lake Speedway proved to be the biggest one yet. When Tim Johnson had finished off the event by surviving a last lap challenge by Cody Kummer after racing side by side with Jay Kesan for nearly the entire race, he received a record first place prize for the event.

Rice Lake WI, July 30, 2011  - The four makeup feature races left over from the power outage/thunderstorm night of July 23rd were completed and heat races were run before another powerful thunderstorm struck the Rice Lake area and forced track officials to once again postpone the main events one week. Thus, for the second straight week and third time this season, double feature races in all five classes will be run on Saturday, August 6th .

July 23, 2011 – Ricke Lake, WI – Butch Madsen won the only feature race contested at the Rice Lake Speedway before a series of uncontrollable forces all conspired to end the racing program early Saturday night at the Rice Lake Speedway.

Grymala, Kummer Top List of First Time Winners at Rice Lake Speedway

RICE LAKE, WI (July 16, 2011) – Andy Grymala and Cody Kummer topped the list of first time winners Saturday night at Rice Lake Speedway. With a spate of new winners, Grymala and Kummer both earned their first ever feature wins at Rice Lake while Josh Smith and John Erickson were both first time winners in 2011. The track dominator, Kevin Adams, won yet another feature race to round out the racing action.

 Rice Lake, WI; July 9, 2011 –  Mark “Mad Dog” Hanson shook off an season that has so far been marked by mechanical failures and bad luck to outrun the field and record his first WISSOTA Modified feature win of 2011 Saturday night at the Rice Lake Speedway. Hanson became the only first time winner of the evening Saturday as Shane Kisling, Ryan Viltz, Doug Wojcik and Jason Havel also tasted victory on a steamy Wisconsin race night.
