Prunty Tops The Miller Lite 130 Season Opener at Slinger Speedway

April 29, 2012; Slinger, WI—Recovering from a miscue with 20-laps remaining that sent him back to third, Dennis Prunty tracked down first Chris Blawat and then Jeff Holtz to capture the win in the season opening Miller Lite 130 super late model feature Sunday afternoon at the Slinger Super Speedway.

April 19, 2012; Slinger, WI -  Racing Manufactures are stepping up to the plate at Slinger Speedway for the 2012 race season. Topping the list are two engines that will be given away at the Slinger Speedway awards banquet. Wegner Motorsports will be giving away an LS SLM engine, and B&B Racing Engines will be giving a 9-1 or Ace Engine. Tiry’s Engines will be giving money off engine rebuilds of $1000 to SLM, $500 to LM, $400 to MWS and $300 to Thunderstocks, Motor Masters Racing Equipment also will be giving money off engine rebuilds; $1000 to SLM and $500 to Late Models.

(Slinger, WI) April 11, 2012 – The 65th Season for Slinger Speedway kick’s off Sunday afternoon April 29th with the Miller Lite 130 Spring Opener. The Miller Lite 130 will have a break at the half way point and this season it will be lap 65 in honor of the 65th season of racing at Slinger Speedway. Super Late Models will headline the event joined by Late Models, Midwest Sportsman, Thunderstock, Slinger Bee’s, and Figure 8’s. Gates will open at Noon and racing starts at 2:00 pm.

Bilderback Dominates Russ Darrow 100 for First Slinger Super Late Model Win!

Slinger, Wis., Sept.4. 2011 —Michael Bilderback drove to his first super late model feature victory Sunday night at the Slinger Super Speedway, taking the checkered flag in the Russ Darrow 100 nearly a half lap ahead of point leader Jeremy Lepak.
 
“I still can’t imagine it, this is awesome,” Bilderback told the crowd from victory lane, “The wasn’t the best in practice and we did some fine tuning before the dash race and then did a little bit more before the feature and it was a rocket.”

Lepak Nets Seventh Win of the Season In Pepsi Championship 75 at Slinger!

Slinger, Wis., August 28, 2011 —Jeremy Lepak picked up his seventh super late model feature win of the season in the Pepsi Championship Round 75 Sunday night at the Slinger Super Speedway and in doing so, claimed the overall three-race Pepsi Challenge Series Championship over Jeff Holtz.
 
“It’s just unbelievable, man these guys just give me great race cars,” Lepak stated from victory lane, “I think anybody could drive these cars, that thing was just unbelievable…I didn’t even break a sweat out there.”

Bennett Grabs First Win of the Year In Pomp’s Fan Appreciation Night 70!

Slinger, Wis., Aug. 21, 2011— Lowell Bennett survived an intense Pomp’s Fan Appreciation Night 70-lap super late model feature Sunday night at the Slinger Super Speedway to capture his first main event victory of the season.
 
“It’s been such a long time and this team of mine has tried so hard,” Bennett told the crowd from victory lane after recovering from an earlier incident that sent him to the back of the field before driving to the win, “Tonight I just counted it out and said ‘there’s no way we’re going to get back up there’ and attrition took its toll and we had a pretty good race car.” “I think it’s got to do with this old race suit,” Bennett continued, explaining why he donned an old driving suit for the evening, “I forgot my race suit at home and dug this one out of the closet from the nineties and maybe I ought to wear this next week.”

Slinger, Wis., July 3—Dave Feiler took the lead on lap 64 and drove to victory over Josh Wallace to capture his third super late model feature triumph of the season Sunday night at the Singer Super Speedway in the caution-free Keith’s Marina 85.

“This place is really incredible, “Feiler exclaimed from victory lane, “We’ve had a car just like this all year long but haven’t had very much luck, but we’ll start with three (wins) and we’ll do one at a time or whatever it takes. We’ve just got to take one race at a time and if we do our homework at home and can beat the luck thing, I think we have a really good piece here.”
