141 Speedway Readies for 2011 Awards Banquet

(Francis Creek, WI) January 26, 2012  – 141 Speedway in Francis Creek will host it’s 2011 awards banquet Saturday, February 4 at Fox Hills Resort in Mishicot.
 
Champions in all six divisions will be crowned. Rookie-of-the-year honors will also be doled out, along with most improved driver awards. Drivers who took part in 75 percent or more of the weekly shows will receive point fund money. Drivers need to be at the banquet to collect both point fund money and trophies.

Tri-County Heating, 141 Speedway Team Up On IMCA Northern Sportmod Giveaway

(Francis Creek, WI) January 24, 2012 – Tri County Heating in New Franken has signed on to become the primary sponsor for a 2012 Harris IMCA northern sportmod that will be given away later this year at 141 Speedway in Francis Creek.
 
The car will be awarded to a sportmod driver at the end of the year who races in 75 percent or more of the track’s weekly shows in 2012. In addition, division drivers who earn 100 percent attendance racing their cars all year will receive a mulligan – an extra chip in the drawing bag when the machine is awarded to a driver at season’s end in August. The value of the car, without a motor and transmission, is $15,000.

Trute, Burrows Team For Title

Lakeshore Motorsports Show Promoters Look For Record Turnout

(Manitowoc, WI) - January 13, 2011 – Branch’s Gregg Herrmann is hoping for some good weather on January 21 can produce some record attendance numbers for his Lakeshore Motorsports Show and Sale at the Manitowoc County Expo’s Merchants Building.

Consistency The Key to 141 Speedway’s 2012 Racing Season

Francis Creek, WI -  December 31, 2012 – If there’s one key theme to 141 Speedway’s last two seasons of racing at the Francis Creek oval, it’s undoubtedly been “change.”

 In 2010, the historic 1/4 mile paved oval, a Lakeshore tradition for one-half century, was taken out and replaced with a  high-banked, third-mile clay oval.
 
In 2011, the track switched it’s weekly program from Wedesday nights to Saturday nights.  More change.

3rd Annual Lakeshore Motorsports Show & Sale January 21st

(Manitowoc, WI) December 28, 2011 - The third annual Lakeshore Motorsports Show & Sale is slated to take place Saturday, January 21 at the Manitowoc County Expo’s Merchants Building in Manitowoc from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
 
More than 30 different vendors will be on hand, everything from Wisconsin race tracks, chassis builders, race car parts manufacturers and individuals and businesses selling new and used racing parts, equipment and supplies.
 
More than 16,000 feet of display space will be utilized. Outside space is also available for race cars, trucks and trailers. Vendors can buy, sell or trade their merchandise. Parking is free.
 
Concessions will be available through the Manitowoc Chiefs Youth Football program. Adult admission to the show is $3 while kids 12 and under are free.

Luxemburg Speedway Awards Banquet Saturday January 28th

(Luxemburg, WI) December 24, 2011 – The 2011 Luxemburg Speedway awards banquet will be held Saturday, January 28 at Beverly Gardens located at 5911 Pine Grove Road in Denmark. 
 
The track champions in the five divisions will be crowned.  Trophies and awards will be presented to the top ten points finishers in the respective divisions.   Rookie of the year honors will be doled out as well, along with the 2011 Mark Reinhard Sportsmanship Award.

IMCA Northern SportMods new at Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway next season.

OSHKOSH, Wis. (Dec. 17, 2011) – Looking to build on already solid numbers, Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway will add Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods to its weekly lineup next season.

IMCA points will be awarded at Friday shows starting with opening night May 4 through Aug. 31. Several Tuesday programs on the 1/3-mile dirt oval are also to be announced for 2012.
